Measured or estimated

Measured: FilamentColors.xyz read a real swatch of the filament with a colorimeter. We turn the reading into the base color that matches it in the filament’s finish.

Estimated: no one has read the filament yet, so its color comes from a color code, the maker’s own or one in an open database, turned into a base color the same way. An estimate can be further off, so check it against the real filament.

Each hex code is that base color, where the renderer starts. It isn’t the maker’s code, and a print looks lighter or darker as the light falls on it.

Each ball is a real render: a 25 mm ball with a groove, in the filament’s own material, in the studio’s light.

Color readings by FilamentColors.xyz, under CC BY 4.0. Changed for rendering: each reading becomes the base color that matches it in the filament’s finish.
