Frequently asked questions

Are these AI images?
Not AI-generated. Each image is a physically based render, made in Blender’s Cycles from geometry built from your G-code. The last pass removes render noise with Cycles’ denoiser, which is a trained network.
Why not an STL?
An STL is the smooth shape you designed. Renders made from it have no layer lines, so the print looks molded. The G-code holds every line your printer will lay down.
How close are the colors?
Each color comes from the filament library. Where FilamentColors.xyz has read a real swatch of the filament, the color is that reading; where no one has yet, it’s estimated from the maker’s own color code, and the library says which. Each scene’s light is metered on a gray card, the way a photographer would, and the app notes a scene that shifts colors, like terracotta paper, which runs warm. Screens still vary, yours and your buyers’.
What works today?
On October 15, 2026: 1,843 filaments from 87 brands, in PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PCTG, PC, PA, PET, PPA and PPS; 7 studio scenes and 55 sets where the print sits at its true size; files up to 100 MB, and a project with several plates renders one plate at a time. A print with several filaments renders each one in its own color, and videos take one of 16 moves. Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer are checked on real prints.
Can I make videos?
Yes. Each video is one move: a turn, an orbit, a push-in to the layer lines and nine more camera moves, or a growth, your print building itself layer by layer along its toolpath (one print, not a product). It runs 6, 8 or 10 seconds in one color, in 9:16, 4:5 or 1:1, and uses 20 credits. Two frames of the move preview free.
Who can see my files?
You, through your account. We look at a file only when you ask for help or to fix a problem. Files and renders are stored in the EU (Frankfurt), rendered on GPUs in the US, and never used to train anything.
What does it cost?
Every new account starts with 20 free credits, for Standard and High. Previews and retries are free; each final image uses credits. Plans start at $12 a month, and credit packs at $12; the pricing page lists them.
Can I sell with these images?
On your own store and in your posts, yes: the images you render are yours to use. Marketplaces set their own rules. Etsy’s listing image requirements ask for original photos of the actual product, not renderings; MakerWorld asks for a real photo of each print profile; and TikTok Shop doesn’t allow renderings.
Try it on your own prints.
